Welcome, thanks for stopping by and I hope you arrived via the Club Scrap Blog Hop or from enjoying Ann Hunter's Blog Hop Entry.
This month it is all about the Blues, there is even Blue Velvet paper! The Piano Keys stencil has so much movement, it was wonderful to use in creating this mixed media piece. Each stencil image is different. Here is the 12 by 12 paper before anything was added
Some images were added with inks and sprays
I was seeing many paths, Mark saw angel wings , some texture was added
Pan pastels were added on top of the white texture paste, some more sprays and glittery outlines
I found a stamp in my stash, that really felt right and with all the movement took it a step further- Butterflies!
Using several different butterfly dies and a piece of the Blue Velvet paper produced a group of Butterflies in flight, with different heights and angles.
This paper is to die for! Here is a link to see it at Club Scrap-Blue Velvet Paper
I really enjoyed creating this mixed media project and may add some of the wonderful ribbons included in the Blues Collection, or some musical charms, or it may just stay as is ......
Next up in the Blog Hop is Tiare Smith and I am sure she will have something wonderful to share too.
Thank you so much for stopping by and comments are always appreciated.
Enjoy,
Cathy
Beautiful, Cathy!

wow, you sure are awesome at these mixed media pieces! The blue suede butterflies are the bomb. Love the texture paste with the keyboard stencil, fabulous idea.
I just put together the blog hop summary 9-up image we use in the Club Scrap email ad going out in a couple days, I snuck in your pic of the texture paste and stencil, of course I probably should have just used a pic of your finished piece but just thought this was such a fun part of it.
Hope you are having a fun day celebrating Mark's Birthday!
