Thank you so much for stopping by my blog during the Club Scrap Blog Hop! I hope you arrived from Kay's Keepsakes's Blog , she is always so creative.
This month I played with the wonderful stencil included in the Blueprint Club Scrap collection, 12 by 12 cardstock, acrylic paints and a Geli plate, a Gel Printing Plate.
Here are the colors I used with a brayer
The the stencil was applied on top and then the paper placed over. Below, I thought I was done, but then continued, always a tough decision.
I used a baby wipe to "clean" black paint off the stencil onto the several layers of color.
The end result was a little darker than I wanted so I added some lighter color on top.
Here is the finished look, which just means I liked how it looked and decided to stop. I made several backgrounds on different colored cardstock.
I knew I wanted to build a house and was lucky to find one in my stash, and used the stenciled 12 by 12's to cover it. Stamps from the kit were also used.
Here are some pictures of the same stencil and colors on a solid bright green 12 by 12 cardstock included in the kit.
I used stamps from the Blueprint collection to remove paint and add additional texture, note the grid in the above picture.
Note the tape on the left which enables the paper to "land" in the same place every time. I like to use a Speedball to apply even pressure and move it over all of the paper on the Geli plate.
I added dark gray paint and used a baby wipe to remove some of the paint, the next picture is a closeup. I will also outline letters or certain designs in black pen, or stamp on top, once the paint is dry.
I have not used the finished green paper yet, but did use scraps from the earlier house to create a card
Thank you again for stopping by your comments are really appreciated.
Next up is Debby Hernandez , so hop on over and she how she used this wonderful collection!
Enjoy,
Cathy

More gelli plate fun, you make me want to pull it out right now and play! I love how you added the dark grey over the green print - it really adds such definition and makes the rest of the design pop.
TFS!
