Dungarees Club Scrap Blog Hop

Today is Mark's birthday, and I wanted to make something special for his "card". Using a 4 microscope slide holder from my stash and Club Scrap's Dungarees kit was just the inspiration I needed, plus an old pair of Mark's Levi jeans! Yes, that is a real pocket on the front cover, it is the small pocket inside the front pocket on 501 jeans, the back pockets were a bit too big for this project. The fabric tags were added and special message for him was handwritten on both pieces. The outside and inside of the holder were covered with Club Scrap paper, adhered using their bookbinding glue.

The inside also has the tag from the same pair of blue jeans, with a die cut inserted, which has a safety pin, button and fiber added. I really liked the zipper die cut from the Lite kit in the center as well. Die cuts were cut down to 1 x 3 inch strips and glued onto the glass slides. The tape was added to aid in lifting the glass slides out. Buttons were added to keep the slides from falling out as well.

Here is a picture with the glass slides out, I did have one crack, but I liked the look so kept the slide as is. Stazon black ink was used for the Happy Birthday stamp, which was from a previous Club Scrap kit, April's Hydrangea.

Mark really liked this quote, so I added it to the back as a nice finishing touch.

Next up are some cards I made from the Greetings to Go option

 and the last one is for a friend who is healing from open heart surgery and will enjoy the short pun with the card coming from me (he he), anything to bring her a smile.
