Thank you for stopping by, welcome to Club Scrap's Trees kit Blog Hop, which starts at Club Scrap Creates. Click here if you would like to start at the beginning.
This month, using Club Scrap's Trees kit, I decorated a deep seated frame in a very dimensional way. Here is the front view
The background paper is a 12 by 12 cut to fit, from the kit. The saying was sized from the stamp sheet using Photoshop, applied onto a digital background from the Trees digital kit, printed and layered on green cardstock, here is a closeup and it is a bit hard to tell, it has a little box cover underneath to raise it about a 1/2 inch from the base.
The outside of the frame was also stamped with rubber stamped images included in my kit, in various colors directly on the wood surface.
The butterfly, which I love using for the wings mentioned in the quote was adhered to a sheet of mica, which was glued to the outside edges of the frame.
The collage stamp was inked in black india ink on the mica as well. Mica is one of my favorite items to use, I peel away thin layers from a sheet, to have more to use and as a sign of respect for how old the mica may be. A tail with leaves attached was added to the butterfly and wraps around the bottom of the frame.
Thank you again for looking, the next in the blog hop is Anne's blog, I can't wait to see what she has come up with this month! Comments are always appreciated.
Enjoy,
Cathy

Thanks Janet, my art is up all over the house and given as gifts. Reds go to my daughter, blues to my son, greens and purples stay. All depending on folks decor and style.

Such a stunning project, Cathy. I love the dimension and the wonderful details . . . especially how you strung the miniature leaves togethers on the tail of the butterfly!
