Thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you started at Club Scrap Creates where all the fun for the Tribal Blog Hop starts! You can link over to everyone involved in the Blog Hop from there. I hope you arrived from Kay's Keepsakes Blog, if not you might want to click on the link and see what she created. Here is my contribution:
This month I used the gorgeous Tribal papers to make an art decor piece which I saw on Pinterest. I can so see this hanging in my daughter's home!
I had the 12 by 12 canvas on hand and used the following items to complete the project.
Using black gesso to cover the blank canvas, it just took a couple of coats for the stunning black backgound.
The Tribal paper was cut into 2 inch by 3 inch pieces, they also could've been torn for a neat look.
The flower petals were then cut from one corner to the opposite end in a curved motion.
The other side of the petal was done the same way.
Arranged all the petals in a pleasing way and then glued them using the Club Scrap glue onto the canvas. The center was created using two circles punched from the same Tribal papers used for the petals.
Thanks so much for stopping and I hope you can leave a comment, before seeing what Anne Marie Healey has created at her blog Artfully Balanced.
Enjoy,
Cathy
Gorgeous! Lots of freehand cutting on that. You rock!
