01_27_2011 What's in your purse?

I really liked the idea of taking a picture of my purse or pocketbook. I did not take every thing out, but this small backpack purse, which I had used years ago and found in my closest and Mark assisted with it taking some place and having it fixed again, holds lots of stuff. My wallet, which also contains my checkbook, two cell phones, two ear pieces, one of each is personal the other for work. Lots of lip glosses and lipsticks, pens, eyeglass case, I hardly ever use my over 40 glasses, keys and the most precious sparkling C key chain from my dear friend Margaret in Endersbach, a goodbye gift from her.
There will also be papers as in receipts and a printed email for addresses for the locations I will be at in Phoenix on this business trip. There is another purse I bought on sale on Sunday for $11 that contains my work laptop, power and work folio. I keep trying to find the best way to carry my work stuff when traveling. 

01_26_2011 Reading

One of the benefits from traveling for work is reading. I take my Kindle and read while waiting for planes, on the plane, well you get the idea. This time I drove to Phoenix and even though I only had a little bit left in the book I was reading by Tami Hoag, I never got time to even turn it on.

01_25_2011 Waterfall

Mark worked on the waterfall, with replacing the pump. I was in Phoeinx for work and it was nice to hear and see it working when I got home.

01_23_2011 Lights please

A bright moment to celebrate. We bought a new set of lights for the kitchen, we are on our third set. Since the house was built, almost 12 years ago, we have had problems with the lights turning off and on in the kitchen. Some folks have mentioned ghosts and while we have had spirits visit, this issue of lights was not due to them. It has driven me crazy to not have all 4 on at the same time.
Here is a wonderful morning picture with all of them on. Since Mark has installed these they have worked perfectly!

I noticed the moon setting early in the morning, it was so bright and the sky such a brilliant first dawn blue. It was taken from my back porch. I did not have shoes on and it was moving so fast I did not do the moment justice with my photo.

I was able to catch a shot of the sunset, very unusual to be in my room this early, but I was going to need to go back into the client to monitor my upgrade later, so I took a few minutes to myself and took another picture of my view from the window of my room- so much nicer than usual!

01_20_2011 Who knew, a lake?

I arrived at the same hotel I have stayed at so many other times when I am visiting this client in Atlanta. I stay at the North Lake Marriott, right by North Lake Mall. But to my surprise in the morning, when I looked out the window, there was a view!

01_18_2011 Texas Roadhouse and cops

What a great experience. The cops were having a fundraiser for the 9 year old girl that was shot during the Tucson Tragedy 10 days ago. They were at Texas Roadhouse and they were our waitstaff and they even did the line dancing- it was a hoot.  You could make a special donation for the cops, 100% percent went to the special charity, also 10% of what the restaurant made went as well.
